Best time to visit is December to February, when the weather is most comfortable. Budget around 3000-5000 CNY per person. City transport is convenient, with cross-area travel taking no more than an hour. Must-visit: Udawalawe National Park and Colombo Fort Mosque — the former has rich wildlife, the latter has unique architecture. Skip the Colombo Port area, as it's overly commercialized and lacks authenticity. Avoid buying souvenirs from street vendors — prices are high and quality is poor.
